Baasha
A king of Israel who came to the throne by killing Nadab, Jeroboam's son, at the siege of Gibbethon and destroying the whole house of Jeroboam — fulfilling prophecy while making himself liable to the same judgement. He warred continually with Asa of Judah and began fortifying Ramah to blockade the road to Jerusalem, until Asa bribed Ben-hadad of Aram to break their treaty and attack from the north. The prophet Jehu pronounced against his house the same doom he had carried out on Jeroboam's.
