Tirzah
The youngest of the five daughters of Zelophehad, who stood with her sisters before Moses, Eleazar and the whole assembly to ask why their father's name should be taken away because he had no son. The ruling in their favour became a statute of inheritance in Israel; a second ruling required them to marry within their father's tribe, and they married their cousins.
