Othniel

The first of the judges, a younger kinsman of Caleb, who captured Kiriath-sepher and won Caleb's daughter Achsah as his wife — she asked her father for springs of water to go with the dry land of the Negev. When Israel served the king of Aram Naharaim for eight years, the Spirit of the Lord came upon Othniel and he went to war, prevailed, and the land had rest for forty years.
