Methuselah — the longest-lived
The son of Enoch and grandfather of Noah, who lived nine hundred and sixty-nine years — the longest life recorded in scripture. He is otherwise known only through the genealogy of Genesis 5, where his name sits between the father who walked with God and was taken, and the great-grandson who built the ark. By the chronology of that chapter his death falls in the year of the flood.
