Meshech
A son of Japheth in the table of nations, and the name of a people of Asia Minor known as traders. Ezekiel lists Meshech with Tubal among those who dealt with Tyre in slaves and bronze vessels, and pairs them again in the oracle against Gog. The psalmist's complaint about dwelling in the tents of Kedar begins 'Woe to me, that I sojourn in Meshech'.
