Bethany
A village on the eastern slope of the Mount of Olives, about two miles from Jerusalem. It was the home of Martha, Mary and Lazarus, a place Jesus stayed during the final week, the setting of the raising of Lazarus, and the neighbourhood of the ascension (John 11; Luke 24:50-51).
