Shiphrah
One of the two Hebrew midwives ordered by Pharaoh to kill every boy born to the Hebrew women. She and Puah feared God and did not do as the king commanded, letting the boys live, and when questioned answered that the Hebrew women were vigorous and delivered before a midwife could arrive. Because they feared God, he gave them households of their own. Their names are recorded where Pharaoh's is not.
