Obed-edom
The Gittite in whose house the ark of the covenant rested for three months after Uzzah was struck down and David, afraid, broke off the procession. Scripture records simply that the Lord blessed Obed-edom and all his household — news that reached David and encouraged him to complete the journey to Jerusalem with rejoicing. He and his sons appear afterwards among the gatekeepers and musicians of the sanctuary.
