Ner
A kinsman of Saul in the tribe of Benjamin, and the father of Abner, Saul's commander. The genealogies of Chronicles set him in the family of Kish, and his name is remembered chiefly through his son, who held Saul's kingdom together after Gilboa and then delivered it to David.
