Nadab
The eldest son of Aaron, consecrated to the priesthood and among those who ascended Sinai with Moses and the elders. With his brother Abihu he offered strange fire before the Lord that had not been commanded, and both were struck down at the very beginning of the tabernacle's service — a warning about approaching holiness carelessly. He left no children, and the priestly line continued through his brothers Eleazar and Ithamar.
