Midian
A son of Abraham by Keturah, sent east with his brothers, and ancestor of the Midianites. The people appear throughout the Old Testament: the traders who bought Joseph, the family of Jethro who sheltered Moses, the alliance with Moab that hired Balaam, and the raiders Gideon defeated with three hundred men.
