Jeshua the high priest
The high priest who returned from exile with Zerubbabel and rebuilt the altar and then the temple. Zechariah saw him in a vision standing before the angel in filthy garments with Satan at his right hand to accuse him — and the garments were taken away and replaced with clean ones, a picture of the nation's guilt removed. He and his sons were among those who had married foreign wives in Ezra's reform.
